Position: Front Desk Receptionist

Description:

The YMCA is seeking an experienced individual who will provide outstanding service to YMCA members, guests, and program participants. The Welcome Center Representative will process information into the Daxko point of sale member management system efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide premier service to members and guests in person and by telephone
  • Provide information about YMCA programs and membership in a professional manner
  • Process memberships, program registrations and other transactions accurately
  • Respond appropriately to member concerns, working toward resolution
  • Support fundraising and promotional efforts
  • Build supportive and caring relationships with members to assist them with their health goals
  • Conduct interviews utilizing Listen First skills
  • Actively participate in designated meetings, training sessions and special events

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in the service industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic mathematical skills; telephone skills and etiquette
  • Proficient in Word and Excel with typing skills of 45 wpm or above
  • Available to work days, nights and weekends
