Ways to give to
The New Rochelle Y
EASY
Monthly debit – set up a regular monthly gift of any size through the new website
Direct donations- send a quarterly check or money order made payable to the New Rochelle Y.
Non- Probate Assets - remember your Y through the following:
- Ø Life Insurance – make the Y one of your beneficiaries (can have more than one!)
- Ø Annuities – designate the Y as beneficiary of your TIAA-CREF Account
- Ø IRA - name the Y as one of the beneficiaries of your IRA with your bank
- Ø Pay On Death/Transfer on Death Account - held at a bank in the name of the Y
Bequest – make the NRYMCA one of the beneficiaries of your Will.
MORE SOPHISTICATED WAYS TO GIVE:
Lead Trusts – the Y receives income during life of donor or a stated amount of time (over a certain amount of years) (donor receives tax incentives). Upon death, money then goes to donor’s chosen beneficiaries. (An attorney would need to draft and manage this with accountants).
Charitable Remainder Trust – Paid out to NRYMCA after the death of a person or group of persons – tax benefits received (also drafted and organized by an attorney). There are two types of Charitable Remainder Trusts:
