Making the New Year’s Resolutions Stick in 2018

Making the New Year’s Resolutions Stick in 2018

Along with singing “Auld Lang Syne” at the start of the New Year, making resolutions is a tradition for millions of Americans. However, while choosing a resolution can be easy, sticking to it can be impossible. A 2014 YMCA survey found that less than a quarter of respondents kept their resolutions. Rich's Holiday Greeting

Members and Friends of the Y:

On behalf of the staff and volunteers of the New Rochelle YMCA, I wish you all the blessings of Thanksgiving and the upcoming Holidays. As our lives change and some traditions adapt to an ever-expanding network of family and friends, I hope you all have the benefit of sharing this time with important people in your life.

As we enter the Holiday Season at your YMCA, we have new traditions and old traditions in our mix of events and program offerings. Here are a few highlights from now and moving into January:

Pool Update and More

Let me first say thank you to all our loyal and patient members!

As many of you are aware, our YMCA has undergone many changes to our physical plant in the last few years: the pool roof and air handling system; upgrades and repairs to our HVAC and air ventilating throughout the building; new cardio and strength equipment, and some improvements to our general look, layout and atmosphere.

Here are some updates:

Scholarship Swim on Saturday, September 23rd

On Saturday, September 23rd, the New Rochelle YMCA will be holding the 2nd Annual REALLY BIG RELAY from 10 am – 12 noon to benefit the Annual Support Campaign. This fundraising effort, held at the Y pool on 50 Weyman Avenue in New Rochelle, provides program and financial support to our Y member families and their children. Join with Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, County Commissioner Jim Maisano, the New Rochelle Police Department and others who will swim to benefit the Y.
