Lifeguard Training at the Y!

The New Rochelle YMCA is proud to be a provider of Red Cross courses, including lifeguard trainings. This class is designed to prepare candidates ages 15 and up to be certified Red Cross Lifeguards and to guard at a variety of settings. This course provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.

Pool Update 1/24/2019

This is an update concerning the status of the pool. We are happy to say the installation of the pump motor was successful and the pool is up and running again. We're still allowing the pool to circulate and for the water to warm up. As it currently stands the pool temperature is at 76 degrees, much cooler than our typical operating temperature. The heater is currently working to bring the pool temperature back up and we are hopeful it will be back to normal as of 6:00PM tonight.

Winter session registration is open!

Registration for the Winter session of classes at the New Rochelle Y is now open! Classes begin on Monday, January 7th and run until March 2nd.
