Scholarship Swim on Saturday, September 23rd

On Saturday, September 23rd, the New Rochelle YMCA will be holding the 2nd Annual REALLY BIG RELAY from 10 am – 12 noon to benefit the Annual Support Campaign. This fundraising effort, held at the Y pool on 50 Weyman Avenue in New Rochelle, provides program and financial support to our Y member families and their children. Join with Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, County Commissioner Jim Maisano, the New Rochelle Police Department and others who will swim to benefit the Y.

Beginning at 10 am, teams will swim off against each other to vie for the title of Really Big Relay Champion for 2017. Jim Maisano’s team took the title in 2016. Each team should consist of four swimmers. The entry fee per team is $150 and all the proceeds go towards the Annual Support Campaign. Following the race, all participants and guests will be invited to a reception on site at the Y.

Since 1899, the Y has been serving the people of New Rochelle, Pelham, Mt. Vernon, Larchmont and the Bronx. With programs for Healthy Living (gym, pool, fitness classes, cardio and weight equipment), Youth Development (pre-K for 3 and 4 year olds, after school care for elementary school students, and youth swimming and sports), and Social Responsibility (classes for citizenship and ESL), the New Rochelle Y offers financial aid for those who demonstrate need. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Y is hoping to raise over $60,000 in 2017. Contact Rich McCarty @ 914.632.1818 ext 21 or to sign up your team.
