Being healthy means more than simply being physically active. It’s about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind and body. The Y is a place where you can work toward that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, fostering connections with friends through our lifelong learning programs, or bringing your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities. At the Y, it’s not about the activity you choose as much as it is about the benefits of living healthier on the inside as well as the outside.

Group Cycling

Come take the cycling Tour de Fitness! Nine classes each week from which to choose -- get healthy, burn fat and make new friends!

Fitness 101

This one-time class is designed for new members or those new to our equipment. Let us show you how to use the equipment to get the best results. Learn how to take your pulse and regulate your level of exercise.

Boxing / Boot Camp

Build stamina and increase strength without weights. All you need is you!  One serious and fun workout! 

 

Pilates Plus

Combining the elements of Pilates, Yoga and Chi Gung, this class focuses on core strengthening, breath, flexibility, alignment and coordination for overall body awareness and fitness.

 

Personal Training

Are you feeling stuck? Not sure how to change your workout to benefit you the most, or how to begin? Personal training will help you focus on your goals and get the results you’re after. Each training period will consist of one-on-one sessions designed to motivate, train and push you to the limit.

Fee: $65.00 per hour for 1 on 1 personal training.

Zumba Gold

Zumba Gold is an aerobic dance routine that is for anyone, any ability level and any age. This program is designed for participants with very little exercise experience, participants that are physically limited. or inactive older adults. The moves have been carefully designed to be easy to follow by individuals of any size or age.

Silver Sneakers Fitness Program

The New Rochelle YMCA, along with Healthcare Dimensions Inc. and Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO, will offer the Silver Sneakers Fitness Program for free to eligible Senior Citizens. This is a program that includes a full membership to the YMCA and 4 weekly Silver Sneaker Fitness Classes, M-T-W-F 9:00-9:45am

SilverSneakers® – Muscular Strength & Range of Movement 
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SilverSneakers® – Cardio Circuit 
Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, head-to-toe stretching, and complete relaxation in a comfortable position.

SilverSneakers® YogaStretch Wed
YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
